The latest Press release issued by IIM Ahmedabad today has announced that the “CAT 2009 result declaration has been deferred to end of February 2010”. Many of the CAT 2009 test takers were expecting the results to come out today or tomorrow, as the IIMs had earlier announced that the results would be declared by the third week of February 2010.

This delay and uncertainty is raising the anxiety level of the CAT 2009 candidates.
"Due to the delay and uncertainty in CAT results I had to take admission in another MBA institute. If after the CAT results I get a call from a good MBA institute I will have to again take admission without getting money reimbursed from the present institute I have taken admission in. I can’t take chances also!” said Amitabh Saxena, an anxious CAT taker from Kolkata.
This entire glitchful process of the CAT 2009 has led to change of plans among many MBA aspirants. Those who thought of taking CAT next year are now apprehensive due to the unsatisfactory turn of events."I thought of taking the CAT exam next year but after seeing such turn of events, I have decided to postpone my plan by next two to three years. POTAT CURRY RECIPE

The flavor of cilantro/coriander, so widely used in Indian cuisine, lends a delightfully uniqueflavor to this favorite.Prep Time: 30 minutes,Baking Time: 30 minutes,Ingredient

List:2 lb. chicken pieces
2 onions, chopped or pureed
2 tsp. ginger paste
2 tsp. garlic paste
1 tsp. turmeric powder
1 tsp. chilli powder
1 tsp. cumin powder
1 tsp. coriander powder
1 tomato, pureed
1 tsp. salt or to taste
Cilantro/coriander leaves
1 tbsp. oil

Instructions:

Heat oil in a saucepan and fry the onions, ginger and garlic, together with cumin and coriander
powders and cilantro/coriander leaves for five minutes on low heat. Add tomato, chicken,
turmeric and chilli powders and salt together with half a cup of lukewarm water and cook on
medium low heat for half an hour, keeping the saucepan covered with a lid.

Ingredients: 1 1/2 lbs. of Mutton (Lamb or Goat) 3 medium Onions (thinly sliced) 1 oz. of Almonds (Baadaam) 4 cloves of Garlic (Lasan) 1 oz. of Coriander Seeds (Dhania) 1 tsp. of Red Chilli Powder (Pisi Lal Mirch) (or to taste) 1/2 tsp. of Garam Masala (whole mixture) Salt (to taste) 1 pinch of Saffron (Zafran) 3/4 cups of Plain Yogurt 3/4 cup of Cream 1/2 cup of Cooking Oil Method: Wash the mutton well, dry and set aside. Blend the coriander seeds, 1 onion, almonds and garlic together. Marinade the mutton in this mixture for about 2 hours. Heat the oil and fry the remaining onions and set aside. Add the mutton to the oil and fry until the liquid dries up. Add 3/4 cups of hot water and simmer until the meat is almost done or (3/4 cooked) OR pressure cook at 15 psi for 20 minutes. Reduce the pressure. Add salt and pepper. Uncover and dry the liquid. Add the beaten yogurt and fry until the oil separates. Add the fried grounded onion. Beat the cream for about 5 minutes or until it is to a thick consistency. Add the soaked or ground saffron. Mix it with the cooked mutton. Add the garam masala and bake at 250 degrees F for 1/2 hour. Serve garnished with chopped coriander leaves.

Kevin Smith's Cop Out is an attempt to pay homage to '80s cop films such as Lethal Weapon, Beverly Hills Cop and 48 Hours. However, Smith has confused the word homage with parody. Cop Out feels like an Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg (the Epic Movie guys) film more than anything else. This is a film that comes off as nothing more than a tired rip-off so intensely boring I have a hard time believing Smith can look back at it and be proud, let alone laugh or even chuckle at the stupidity on screen.

I've been a long-time fan of Smith from Clerks to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. My Blu-ray shelf is loaded with his work and I would even recommend you buy the below average Jersey Girl DVD for the fantastic audio commentary. However, after he sold out and made Clerks II, knowing it's pretty much everything the first film was against, and then tried his hand at mixing Judd Apatow with Smith-inspired crude behavior in Zack and Miri Make a Porno, it's almost as if he has sold his soul to make Cop Out. And he even sold it for cheap, taking, at minimum, a 65-percent pay cut along the way to maintain the film's R-rating. Smith has said it was worth it, knowing that I would have hated to endure a PG-13 version.Cop Out is Smith's first directing gig in which he didn't write the script, and while it shows a lack of talent at the screenwriting stage (though this is about as bad as you would expect had Smith written it considering his current trajectory), equally disastrous is the serious lack of editorial and directorial control. Smith, once again serving as his own editor, shows what can only be a major ego or a declining sense of humor with this 110 minute series of deleted scenes, twenty of which I could have told him should have been cut before I even sat in the theater. Admittedly, there are a few laughs, and they are laughs that feel as if Smith had a hand in shaping the jokes, but they are sandwiched in with such trite dialogue it doesn't really matter, and it begins early with an interrogation scene that feels like it will never end.

Aboard this train wreck are Tracy Morgan and Bruce Willis playing Detectives Paul Hodges and Jimmy Monroe respectively. And guess what, they have an unorthodox way of solving crimes. I mean, these guys are real wack-a-doos. Such as staking out a pawnshop dressed as a cell phone… You did what?!?! Man you crazy! Too bad captain cranky-pants doesn't like it and decides to bench Paul and Jimmy for a month after they lose the bad guy and shoot up a neighborhood. Enter Kevin Pollak and Adam Brody, the rival detectives with all the jokes. Both are a bit goofy and one specifically likes fancy boots. Zing! That's comedy!It goes on like this, and on and on and on. Seann William Scott, whom I traditionally find very funny, is given nothing to work with and that nothing translates into more of the very same nothing. It's astonishing how redundant every scene is, which may explain why Bruce Willis looks as if he were nothing more than a life-sized cardboard cut out of himself, showing as little excitement to be in this film as I was to be in the theater enduring it.

The worst of the bunch is Guillermo Diaz as the drug-dealing villain Poh Boy. However, I don't place any blame on his shoulders as it was most likely Smith's decision to have him play his character as a caricature of action-thriller baddies. I get what he's doing here, but I'm not sure how it is considered funny. Utilizing slow-motion and corny one-liners, Smith is obviously looking to parody as much as he is hoping to pay homage to the successful cop flicks of the past, but it just comes off as dull and uninspired in every way.

Looking over Smith's career decisions it's upsetting to see the way things have gone. Clerks, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob, Mallrats and Chasing Amy are films I will go to my grave with. They aren't award-winning cinema (though Chasing Amy's at least nomination-worthy), but at least they are films that feel as if they meant something to the filmmaker making them. I never got the sense Clerks II was something Smith wanted to do, Zack and Miri was simply a misfire that wasn't altogether awful, but was still missing something and Cop Out appears to be the bottom of the barrel. It's almost as if this film is telling Smith now is the time to look back and reflect on everything that has transpired since Clerks and start over.

I read in an interview where Smith was watching the Olympics and saw "Sponsored by Cop Out" and, surprised to see his R-rated film promoted in primetime, said, "WHAT? I made that movie!" To this point Warner Bros. has done their best to make sure no one knows this is a Kevin Smith film, so for the sake of his career I suggest he keep information such as that to himself.

Narain is an aimless, irresponsible and happy go lucky youngster, who always spends time drinking with friends and getting into petty fights. He also hates to become a policeman like his father. Ajmal Ameer on the other hand is ambitious, gentle in nature and has a big dream to join the police as a sub inspector.

One day Narain is badly humiliated by his father for spoiling a festival day in the colony, when he gets into a fight with Prasanna a notorious psychopath guy, who is running a kidnapping racket with a mechanic Pandirajan.
After this incident, Narain decides to join the force by using the influence of his uncle, a personal assistant of a powerful minister. Both, the well versed Ajmal Ameer and irresponsible Narain appear the police Sub-Inspectors (SI) examination on a same day, but using his influence Narain is selected while Ajmal Ameer fails.On the next day itself Ajmal Ameer drifts away from his best friend and turns out to be his most bitter foe.

Movie News: Tamil super hit Anjade has been dubbed in Telugu and released as Sneham soon. Indus Inspiration is the banner which is bringing the film before the Telugu audience. Since the beginning, it has been touted as a film that tells an interesting tale about friendship. The film's producers recently organised a press meet at Prasads Labs, which was attended by BA Raju, Jaya Pasupaleti, A Prabhu and others, apart from its producer Kantharao and writer Bharathi Babu.

BA Raju, the famous film journalist and public relations officer, averred that the film has been written by Bharathi Babu, who has so far written for over 150 dubbed films. Everyone is hoping that the film work the same magic in Telugu as it did in Tamil.

In fact, many producers had vied to own the film's dubbing rights, but it ultimately went to Kantharao. He said that the original producers had sold away the rights to Indus Inspiration because they believed that Kantharao was passionate about the film.

Music is by Sundar C Babu, Cinematography is by Mahesh Muthuswamy, while Bharathi Babu has written the dialogue and song. The film is directed by Miskin, who has lent the screenplay and direction.Will Sneham turn out to be one of the finest takes on friendship?

Cheung Bo-Man (Simon Yam) used to be an elite in the police force. He was an idol among the younger police cadets for being an ace shooter, highly observant and a calm mind. My friend Tim and I watched this last night at the Dynasty. It was a lot of fun, and featured some notable performances, but more on that later.

Black Ransom/撕票風雲 tells the story of a veteran cop (Simon Yam) trying to figure out who is kidnapping local gang bosses and demanding ransom. More importantly, he wants to know why these people are being ransomed, since none of them are very wealthy (at least by local standards).

In a funny Hong Kong Movie Moment, it is a treat to watch Simon Yam, who portrayed kidnapper ‘Big Spender’ Cheung in Operation Billionaires/驚天大賊王, play a cop trying to catch kidnappers.

The film is completely genre-fulfilling, and at times has plot holes nearly big enough to fit the narrative’s monstrous logical lapses into: Why is it so easy to get past a police cordon in the movies? “No, that’s my father in there!” (with the bad guy shooting at each other and blowing stuff up) “Oh, go ahead, miss…

Or how about when the bad guy sends a photo of Simon’s daughter to him, and shortly thereafter Simon leaves her alone in their flat (he’s a widower) to go and catch the guy who sent the photo? “Ahhh, she’ll be fine,
There are a few of those, but even so, the film manages to entertain. It’s not designed to break new generic ground, and it doesn’t need to.

What sets this film apart for me, if in an admittedly limited fashion, is the performances by some of the characters. Simon Yam has become a very dependable presence, and his character seems very believable. Granted, it’s not a big stretch, but he brings a lot of believability to an aging detective raising a daughter alone while facing his growing irrelevance/age handicap at work.

This aspect of the film is handled with more sensitivity and depth than usual, such that there are some smaller roles by actors of yesteryear (their names escape me and I apologize) and its a nice surprise to see them. In addition, they act well in their roles.

Movie Review:This was a movie about a girl and guy returning home for the first time in a long time. Returning home to a small town in Montana for her help on the high school reunion, the filmmaker hopes that her estranged adopted brother will come home so they can reconciliation some bad vibes between them. Marc, her adopted brother keeps doing things uncovering stunning revelations including his so called blood relationship with Orson Wells and Rita Hayworth. Intense sibling rivalries and unforeseeable twists of plot and gender that forces them to face challenges no one could really imagine.

The release date although limited is February 26th. Prodigal sons is one of those movies that just keeps you interested because you simply don’t know what is going to happen next. It won awards in a variety of film festivals and was noted as being one of the best raw films out so far. There are trailers available on the site for your to view, and you can see scenes from the movie by using the trailer. There are also still shots of pictures in the movie as well.

Kimberly does all she can to make amends with her adopted brother but everything she tries just doesn’t seem to be working. This is the type of movie that just can’t get over the past and fix the present it is very dramatic and wonderful at that. Prodigal sons is an extensive and considered to be productive in some ways.

Sugreeva Story:

The movie has been certified U/A by Censor Board. Anaji Nagaraj is producing the movie under banner of Anaji films. It is said that 12 cameramen Vishnu, Shekar Chandru, Sathya Hegde, R Giri, Suresh Babu, MR Seenu, Krishna, Niranjan Babu, Veenus Murthy and Suresh has worked along with ten directors which includes Om Prakash Rao, PN Sathya, Nagshekar, Pramod Chakravarthy, Ananthu, Viji, Raghav Loki, AP Arjun, Pandu, Tushal Ranganath.

‘Karthik Calling Karthik’, the much-anticipated flick with Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone in the Karthik Calling Karthikmain lead, is based on an interesting concept, combining the genres of romance and thriller. Farhan said after the music release “The music of the film has been done of course by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with whom I have always enjoyed working. They are absolute geniuses. Every song of this film is truly outstanding for me.”

“It is a complete album. There are happy songs, there are sad songs, and there is a song that can be played in a nightclub,” he added.

Full Movie Review: Set in India and England, and starring two of the greatest living acting legends of our times - czar of the Indian film industry, Amitabh Bachchan and Academy Awards Winner Ben Kingsley - Teen Patti is an emotionally riveting and razor sharp thriller about greed, deception and giant feats of imagination. Relayed against the backdrop of modern India - made internationally beloved following the success of Slumdog Millionaire, Teen Patti is one of the most fascinating new films to emerge from Asia, its themes and narrative are so profoundly particular to India that it is ultimately transcendent and therefore universal in its appeal.

Ben Kingsley, who essays Perci Trachtenberg, widely regarded as the word's greatest living mathematician, meets Venkat, played by Amitabh Bachchan, a reclusive math genius from India, at a high rolling casino in London. Venkat tells Perci about an equation that could not only change the dialogue on mathematics forever, but one that has already left an indelible impression of guilt - for many painful reasons - on Venkat's life.

As it turns out, the reclusive genius Venkat has cracked a theory that could redefine the principles pf probability and randomness. However, as with all exceptional knowledge, his equation has its upside - as well as its dark underbelly. Aware that he is on the precipice of an extraordinary discovery, one that could find applications across various sciences, Venkat is encouraged to test his theory in the real world by professor Shantanu essayed by Madhavan (the super star from South India), an ambitious colleague of Venkat. Although Venkat has no interest in the money that could come from practicing his equation to crack Teen Patti, (a poker game) which could rake in all the moolah, he eventually succumbs to Shantanu's charismatic persuasion. Soon, with the help of a few students, each with a complicated and singular fate of their own, they explore the addas (underground gambling dens) of wild Bombay, and a series of edge-of-your-seat escapades keep the film moving faster than a bullet.

But what starts out as an experiment between a charismatic young professor and an eccentric older one soon descends into a game neither of them can control. When their lives sink into maddening chaos, the greed and desperation that had fueled them on can no longer save them.

As the film, super-slick and fast-paced, follows the escapades of each of the characters, all their lives secrets are laid bare, their motives exposed, and the darker side of the human heart illuminated with strobe lights of avarice and desperation. A tragedy occurs, which then sparks an investigation that not only threatens to destroy the careers of both Shantanu and Venkat but also eats into the very moral fiber of each of their being.
