Producer Hansraj may actually have read Enid Blyton and others, once upon a loooong time. “Ku..Ku…” a largely family affair, brings to mind several classics, but only at the beginning. Vicky (Master Vijay) and Vinu (Baby Vanita) are doted on by their parents, who are forced to go to London to solve a business problem. However, they do not reach their destination as their relative, MLA Bhyra (Sagar Nagbhushan) is after their wealth to feed his CM dreams.
The children escape in the nick of time, following their uncle’s advice. Goons dog their heels and brother and sister are separated. How does the boy manage to reunite with his sister and bring the evil MLA to justice is what Ku..Ku… is all about.
The beauty of the film lies in its ability to keep things simple. However, atrocious acting and absence of logic lets it down. Master Vijay is a find and Baby Vanita is confident. Songs undo all that C Dhanapalan’s camera achieves. For a newcomer, this is an average fare but the redeeming factor is that the kids are not made to appear like adults all the time. Except in the tacky number “Ku..Ku…” raising concerns about child “over”use.
The acoustics is a strain on the ear. Those in charge of Kapali must also take note that it is high time the theatre was revived-one of the largest single screen theatres in the city is in worse condition than a BBMP dumpyard.
Release Date:January 29th, 2010 Director:Malcolm Venville Writer:David Scinto, Louis Mellis Starring:Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Ian McShane, Tim Roth, Tom Wilkinson, Stephen Dillane, Melvil Poupaud Studio:IM Global Genre:Drama
MOVIE REVIEW Playing like one of Steven Berkoff’s theatrical pastiches of East End gangsterdom – with cod-Pinteresque cadences replacing Shakespeare’s – this profane, pretentious and seriously unfunny ordeal thriller reunites the writing team (Louis Mellis, David Scinto) and some of the stars (Ray Winstone, Ian McShane) of the far superior ‘Sexy Beast’.
A deliberately ambiguous opening – a slow pan around the devastated flat of supine villain Colin Diamond (Winstone) to the strains of Harry Nilsson’s ‘Without You’ – is followed by the initially unexplained abduction of a young French waiter (Melvil Poupaud) from a Chelsea restaurant. The victim is then locked up in a wardrobe in an abandoned East End warehouse by a motley crew of caricatured hardmen – Diamond’s geezers! – consisting of mother’s boy Archie (Tom Wilkinson), confident, black-shirted gay Meredith (McShane), semi-psychopathic Mal (Stephen Dillane) and the viciously unreconstructed Old Man Peanut (John Hurt).
The stage is set – and what a claustrophobic, theatrical, two-room stage it is – for a day of taunting, vicious banter as the traumatised, volatile and hallucinatingly drunk Diamond arrives and his pals encourage him to exact fatal revenge on ‘lover boy’ for, as flashbacks and dialogue reveal, his wife’s (Joanne Whalley) infidelity.
Aiming for black comedy and a redemptive satire on self-deluding male machismo, ham fisted debut director Malcolm Venville instead gives his cast enough rope to hang themselves rather than the characters they play, with the exceptions of poor Poupaud, an almost wordless skeleton in a cupboard, and the unfortunate Winstone, who graces what is otherwise a deeply unedifying movie with one of the most raw, deeply felt but wasted performances of his career.

Full Movie Review "Edge of Darkness" is an emotionally charged thriller set at the intersection of politics and big business. Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson) is a veteran homicide detective for the Boston Police Department and a single father.
When his only child, twenty-four year-old Emma (Bojana Novakovic), is murdered on the steps of his home, everyone assumes that he was the target. But he soon suspects otherwise, and embarks on a mission to find out about his daughter's secret life and her killing. His investigation leads him into a dangerous, looking glass world of corporate cover-ups, government collusion and murder – and to shadowy government operative Darius Jedburgh (Ray Winstone), who has been sent in to clean up the evidence. Craven's solitary search for answers about his daughter's death transforms into an odyssey of emotional discovery and redemption.
Full Movie Review If you’re going to get someone riled up with something like The Shock Doctrine you have to give them a place to put their energy. The problem with a lot of the documentaries that I’m seeing lately is that they’re trying to state facts without a plan of action, which is admirable but doesn’t help move an audience to make change. The Shock Doctrine is obviously an anti-right wing film, especially when they introduce Bush as the “The new enemy” but they still walk the “just the facts” line. You can tell this film has more to offer than what’s on the surface, so if you have something to say, just say it!
The film is powerful, no questions asked, but that’s not always enough. One of my biggest problems with the film is assuming that modern culture is greater or more knowledgeable than past cultures which is far from true. People have not changed that much over time. We are not becoming more “Shock Resistant” as the film stated and there was nothing in the movie to support that claim.
As FDR says twice in the film, “there is nothing to fear but fear itself.” That statement is just as relevant today as it was then. People are still scared of the unknown and as long as parents have children to protect, a goal to achieve, things to acquire and ways of judging one another, people will continue to fear things around them and buy things to protect themselves from such fears. It would be great to find a solution to the problem but the film offers none.
Further to the point, people have been fighting the government and the government has been trying to control people with rationed violence since the beginning of time. This is nothing new.
That being said, the fact that the film provoked a number a huge responses and thoughts among audience members leaving the theater, it means it was a success and well worth a watch and a discussion after.
It might have been better if they would have focused more on one aspect of the film instead of covering to many different topics over such a vast period of time. It was more of a history lesson that made you second guess some things, instead of a call to action like it should have been, but it’s still worth a watch!

MOVIE PREVIEW Stories on father-daughter relationship are rarely made in Tamil cinema. Filmmaker K S Ravikumar, who is known for commercial entertainers, has tried his hands at a touchy tale, however quite typical to his style. There is action, romance and sentiment in the movie which has a strong storyline too.
Unlike earlier movies of Ravikumar, 'Jaggubhai' doesn't involve a huge star cast but the artistes have a role to play in the script. Ravikumar has woven the screenplay around Sarath Kumar and Shriya with enough scope for sentiments and emotions. The whole story is set in Australia.
The movie, seemingly inspired by Japanese film 'Wasabi', does leave an impact with audience. Ravikumar has made certain changes that suit to the taste of the local audience. Jaganathan (Sarath Kumar) is a tough cop, who is known for his rude ways of handling criminals. A bachelor, Jagannathan is dreaded by baddies. One day he gets a call from Australia informing him that his girl friend (Ilavarasi), who he met last some two decades ago had died and that her last wish was that a girl child born to her and Jaganathan be taken care by him.
Jaganathan sets on a trip to Australia to realise her last wish. Flashback reveals the incidents that took place 20 years ago. Jaganathan had been to the abroad country then as an under cover. He goes to the place disguised as Jaggubhai to catch a dreaded criminal (Hamid Ansari).
The Australian government provides a police officer called Man In Black (Goundamani) to help Jaggubhai. One day, Jaggubhai comes across a young girl (Ilavarasi) and slowly develops an affinity with her, He comes to know that she works for the don whom he is searching for.
He hatches a plan by which he decides to marry her. For the wedding cones the don. There a drama unfolds and the don manages to escape holding the girls's father as bait. Coming to know that Jaggubhai had chosen to marry her only for catching the baddie, she starts to hate him and deserts him. Come to present, Jaganathan lands in Australia and meets Man in Black. He also meets Monica (Shriya), his daughter. But hides the truth that he is her father and befriends her in the pretext of her care taker. The rest of the events are all how Jagannathan with the help of Man In Black wins over her confidence.
Sarath Kumar, who had played a mass hero untill now, settles down to play a father. Shouldering a major burden, he seems to have come up trumps bringing out the emotions of a dotting dad who wants to reunite with his daughter. He vents out anger, dejection and yearning for the love of his daughter very well.
Shriya, who untill now, has been seen as glamdoll in the industry, has played a spoilt brat. She is chirpy and active all through. Comedian Goundamani makes a comeback to play Sarath Kumar's friend, who helps him in his mission. He is as usual is impressive with his one-liners. The action scenes are the hallmark of the movie especially in the climax. The grand locations of Australia and the peppy background score are the USP. Produced by Radhika Sarath Kumar, Jaggubhai is no mindless masala movie, but an emotional tale which sustains interest in good parts. WATCH ONLINE TRAILER

Goa Preview Ready to script a hat-trick is Venkat Prabhu. After having given hits like ‘Chennai 600028’ and ‘Saroja’, the filmmaker is now busy with ‘Goa’, produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth for Ocher Studios.
He has written the story, screenplay besides directing the movie. "Everyone keeps marching ahead in life with lots of expectations, but many a times, the unexpected happens, which ends up being much better than the expected," this is what the film is all about, he says.
"The name ‘Goa’ reminds one of joy, fun and entertainment. The movie will be a joyful ride for the audience. Hence, the title Goa," he informs. Jai, Premji Amaran, Vaibhav, Sampath, Sneha play lead roles in ‘Goa’. The film has musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Sakthi Saravanan does the cinematography while stunts are by Selva.
Confirming reports that she is doing a role with negative shades in the film, Sneha says, "It is a first-of-its kind role in Tamil cinema. I am very much impressed by my character and accepted to do the role immediately after Venkat narrated me the story."
Says producer Soundarya, “I like the story that Venkat Prabhu narrated because it was so vibrant and young. Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the music for this film and I am sure the young will relate to it just like they did with ‘Chennai 28’ and ‘Saroja’.” The team of ‘Goa’ recently returned to Chennai from Malaysia. They had been to the abroad country for the shoot and they are back after completing some important scenes.
The film is said to have a total of seven songs with ten tracks, including the theme music. Interestingly, one of the numbers will be sung by the winner of Vijay TV Super singer. ‘Goa’ is expected to hit the screens in December. Now, our Superstar’s birthday too falls in the same month. Wonder whether it is a coincidence or something else? For, the movie is his daughter’s venture.
The Goa Movie Story: The film follows the journey of three young men, Ramarajan, Vinayagam and Saamikannu, who flee from their remote, conservative village to escape their overly strict families and travel to the international tourist-destination Goa, where they enjoy themselves, experiencing things they have never had a chance to.
some of them: ‘Thou shall worship the Mother over all Gods. Thou shall not let thy sister’s feet touch the ground. Thou shall fall in love and marry a rich girl irrespective of how poor you are. Thou shall sing and dance with her in exotic foreign locations. Thou shall fight against corrupt politicians and gangsters even if they are your girlfriend’s daddy.’

This movie, a ‘Why Not’ Production, is distributed by Dhayanidhi Alagiri’s Cloud Nine movies. C.S. Amudhan debuts as a director and the film stars RJ Siva, Disha Pandey, M.S.Bhaskar, Manobala and others. Kannan has scored the music for this movie which is supposed to be a huge spoof on Tamil movies. Of course, with Kalaignar himself around, it cannot be a harsh or satirical film. If the music is any indication, we have a laugh riot on our hands. Let us plunge into the album.
Pacha Manja... Vocals:Mukesh& chorus Lyrics: Chandru
Oh, ho, ho, Mukesh deserves a huge pat on the back for carrying off this number which parodies the Tamil film industry heroes in a big, but lighthearted way! ‘pacha, manja, rose, karuppu’, no colour is spared. The chorus at the start, the rap bit, and the tape sounds all add dollops of fun. There is a political tint too in the verses.
O Maha Zeeya... Vocals: Hariharan, Swetha Mohan Lyrics: Many current lyricists!!! Seriously, it is C.S.Amudhan, Chandru

Road to Sangam is a docu-drama that tries to merge reality with fiction. The movie has attempted to applaud a simple act of patriotism made by a mechanic in a small town. A lot of events are scripted with an effort to not let go off a realistic feel.
Husmatullah (Paresh Rawal), is a mechanic in Allahabad who is a genius when it comes to handling car parts. He has been assigned the task of fixing an old ford engine by the local museum authorities. Time is critical. That's all he knows. Later, due to riots, all Muslims are under the radar. Family men are getting picked up by the police for interrogation. This obviously irates the Islamic elders so they decide to protest and declare a strike of few days. Of course, strike means shutting down shops and not allowing normal routine for the public. Husmatullah happily agrees at this point of time.
A few days after, a reporter meets up with Husmatullah to interview him. He is the one to enlighten him about the fact that the engine given to him by the museum authorities is no ordinary one. But one of great historic importance. It was used to carry the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi. It is being repaired to do the same unfinished work as someone left a part of Gandhiji's ashes forgotten in a bank vault. It is now the wish of Gandhiji's surviving successor Tushar Gandhi that the last of the great man's ashes be immersed in the Sangam of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.
This piece of information comes as shocking and moving for Husmatullah. He feels if he doesn't complete the work of the engines he is seriously disrespecting a great soul, someone who'd sacrificed his life for the country. He presents a petition (asking permission to resume work on the engine inspite of the strike) to the elders at the mosque but they fail to understand his point of view and reject his petition. Husmatullah too fails to understand why religion has to interfere with work. With such a terrible turmoil within him and the communal riots outside, this man puts into practice Gandhiji's timeless principles to do what his heart says is right.
Road to Sangam can be aptly compared to the khadi cloth that Gandhiji actively promoted. Its simply made. The message that it wants to put through is clear enough. Some gory images have been shown. But perhaps it is to make the viewers realize that there have been too many fights with cause unknown and consequence unbeneficial. And that, the time has come to open up our eyes to think any issue through before standing for it or against it. The movie raises a question as to where should one draw a line between religion and country, between personal and societal. When the whole world thinks in one direction and you think the other way, are you okay? Is it right to follow your heart's voice even when the closest to you don't seem to speak the same language?
However, if this message has to reach the public then a fair job hasn't been done. It needs more than what's in the film, for any layman to sit through the movie and then grasp its message. The thought of the movie is novel but its presentation isn't mass endearing. Also, another disappointing fact about this film is the lack of strong female characters. Or is it just a true and bitter reflection of our small towns where women still find it hard to make their space in the society?
The film doesn't cross the line except where a rickshaw driver retorts to a question asking him how he'd respond if someone forced him not to work for a day. He says- Is this a Pakistan or a Taliban, that anyone can force? It beats me how we can ever achieve peace with Pakistan if we continue to have such dialogues in our films.
The music is rustic and at times spiritual. Some songs have a levitating effect. Editing is smooth.
All the actors have done a stupendous job. Although Paresh Rawal is the protagonist, it's impossible to say the other characters are less impacting. Paresh Rawal as Husmatullah is very very convincing. He takes you through his ups and downs without a trouble. You can actually feel what he is going through. Javed Sheikh as Dr. Ansari is a class-act. He is one of the lesser-known faces so it's a sweet surprise to get to see so much of an actor as good as him.
Om Puri as Mohammed Ali Kasuri is well-defined. Pavan Malhotra as Maulana Qureshi is a challenge accomplished. The actor has played a part several years older than him and has managed to pull it off.
Debutant director and scriptwriter Amit Rai has made a movie that not many would dare to make. A delicate topic has been handled pretty well. But we need docu-dramas that are mass appealing as the vital message goes to waste if not reached out to the audience. This film is for those who are on a sincere quest of true meaning of patriotism as well as those who have a penchant for serious meaningful cinema.

Get ready for tangy, pungent, sizzling and spicy stuff. Be forewarned, ISHQIYA isn’t the fluffy, candyfloss, saccharine sweet story of lovers breaking into songs in mustard fields. In ISHQIYA, you just don’t know what turn the story may take next. Not just the story, even the characters here are so impulsive and unpredictable.
You need to have a strong stomach to absorb ISHQIYA. It’s high on drama, it’s wild, it’s real. But it’s not dark, it’s not sleazy, it’s not crass. Frankly, you don’t expect debutante director Abhishek Chaubey to make a stereotypical fare thanks to the tutelage by his guru Vishal Bhardwaj, who loves to swim against the tide and undertake risks in film after film.

Online Watch Rann Movie Free Rann Film Video Trailer 2009 Lyrics Bollywood Hindi Songs Mp3 Review Preview Music Director Cast Crew Romantic Rann Bollywood Movie
In fact the basic scenario of drama for this Ram Gopal Varma film comes close to his own Sarkar through the trio of a principled patriarch (Amitabh Bachchan), his debauched son (Sudeep) and the righteous and more deserving descendant (Riteish Deshmukh).
Rann tries to be too idealistic right from its ethical news channel head Vijay Harshvardhan Malik (Bachchan) to the trustworthy politician (K K Raina), all of which have become rare species in real life. Malik’s concerns are correct as he believes in reporting news in an era when every rival channel is resorting to creating news. Son Jai Malik (Sudeep) is disillusioned with father’s morals that are leading their channel nowhere.
As commercial corruption seeps in, Jai, through the medium of his channel, conspires against the ruling Prime Minister to make way for the opposition leader Mohan Pandey (Paresh Rawal). While Vijay is oblivious to the entire conspiracy, his channel’s lead reporter Purab (Riteish) takes it upon himself to investigate the truth.
Rann starts off impressively, right from its opening credits, showing contemporary newsreel montages edited to a spooky effect, more symbolic of RGV’s horror flicks. The idea is to highlight the real horror that’s haunting humans – sensationalism by media houses. The commercialism of coverage is effectively portrayed in a scene where a news channel anchor (Rajpal Yadav) confides in a feature filmmaker (Gul Panag) saying they are doing the same job – making movies and entertaining the audience. Especially hilarious is the sequence emphasizing media’s selective hearing approach where facts are cut out on the editing table for formula.
But the authentic setting can’t camouflage the conventionalism in the storytelling. Though writer Rohit Banawlikar pens some intense dramatic sequences which are deftly directed by Ram Gopal Varma, Rann relies on a very predictable plot. The treatment is suggestive of several Madhur Bhandarkar films from Corporate to Satta and the climactic twist clearly comes close to that of Page 3 . Further the film opts for the most conservative and convenient culmination with a sting operation in the climax.
The predictability could have been prevented by tweaking the film into a thriller format but seems like Ramu wanted to uphold the essence and genre to drama. In that respect the dialogues add depth to the narrative, notably amongst which is Amitabh Bachchan’s dramatic discourse in the last reel that, pretty much like the climax of Baghban , makes up for the predictability of the plot. An exceptional line from it says ‘ media ka lakshya khabre hai aur madhayam paisa ’ (the aim of media is to spread news through the medium of money). But contrarily, today, the aim of media has turned into making money through the medium of news.
Through his trademark technician team of cinematographer Amit Roy and editor Nipun Gupta, Ram Gopal Varma employs standard Sarkar styled shot-takings to intensify the drama. Though the erratic camera angles and close-up frames have its effect, at times its rotating movements tend to spin your head. The music is thankfully restricted only to the background and the lyrics are spin-off on popular election slogans.
Amitabh Bachchan adds dignity and grace to his character and performance. Riteish Deshmukh’s switch to serious role is sober but the scope of his character is restricted in everything from his expressions to looks. Comparatively Sudeep gets more range and runtime and Ramu extracts the same intensity and expressions from him like he derived from the late South actor Raghuvaran, two decades back in Shiva . It’s a pleasant change to see Paresh Rawal intermittently go back to his negative act after his typecast comedy characters. Rajat Kapoor maintains his poise. Mohnish Behl is efficient. Rajpal Yadav’s character gives him ample scope to display histrionics, something he can’t do away with anyways. Neetu Chandra is appealing and Gul Panag is adequate.
Cast And Crew" Genre:Action | Adventure Release Date:29 January 2010 Director:Nicolas Winding Refn Writer:Roy Jacobsen (writer) Nicolas Winding Refn Language:English Country:Denmark | UK" Cast:Talia Zucker, Rosie Traynor, David Pledger, Martin Sharpe, Steve Jodrell, Tamara Donnellan, Scott Terrill
Movie Review" Movie opens like gangbusters, in full John Milius mode, with a storming intertitle -- "In the beginning there was only man and nature. Then men came bearing crosses and drove the heathen to the ends of the earth" -- whose promise is quickly fulfilled by a sequence of mano-a-mano fights to the death on a wild and woolly mountainside.
The chief protag is a mute, heavily scarred warrior, dubbed "One-Eye" (Mads Mikkelsen, "Casino Royale"), who, like Conan in his early days, is kept in a cage like an animal and only brought out to fight for money, by his Scottish owner, Barde (Alexander Morton). The most info ever imparted about him is that he came from across the ocean (presumably Scandinavia), from an equally violent past that’s glimpsed throughout in One-Eye’s blood-red memory flashes.
After fulfilling the prophecy that "he’s never belonged to anyone for more than five years" by slaughtering his captors and disemboweling his owner, One-Eye sets off for home with a young boy (Maarten Stevenson), who acts as his voice. En route, however, they fall in with a handful of Christian Vikings who are planning to sail to Jerusalem to conquer the Holy Land. With the voyage and its surprising aftermath, the pic sails off into an unreal, almost fantastic world that seems dramatically at odds with the hyper-realism of the opening.
That would be fine if Refn showed any genuine feel for myth or heroism. But his idea of the latter seems to be outbreaks of slaughter, separated by endless thousand-yard stares by Mikkelsen and the rest of the cast. And his idea of fantasy -- perhaps dictated by shortage of coin -- seems to be one small boat in a foggy studio tank that makes Italo sword-and-sandal movies of the ’60s look big-budget.
With very little dialogue, and even less plot, five chapter stops lend the movie a skeletal structure: "Wrath," "Silent Warrior," "Men of God," "The Holy Land" and "Hell." But any discussion of the Dark Ages conflict between paganism and Christianity is reduced to just grunts or insults.
The mute Mikkelsen cuts a fine figure in widescreen as the Man With No Name but Loads of Attitude. As the boy who speaks for him, Stevenson probably has the most dialogue, but delivers it without feeling. Other roles, mostly played by Scots, have few distinguishing features beyond brutality and plug-ugliness.
Deliberately color-drained DV lensing is cold even in the pic’s few sunny sequences, and acts as a further monotonous damper on the film. Drone-metal synth soundtrack has all the subtlety of an ax splitting a skull.

“Our story revolves around the central character of ANGIE, who is a beautiful, but innocent, 23 year old woman. She is the daughter of a well-respected Pastor, who is the pillar of the small, family-like community within Augusta, Georgia, where she has grown up her entire life. As the only woman in her father’s life (her Mother passed when she was a little girl), she tends to all of her father’s needs: she takes care of her father’s asthma, goes to church service three times a week, carries out missions for the church, and sings in the church choir… basically, her whole life revolves around the church and her father. She has yet to experience life for herself, and frankly, she feels that life is passing her by. One day, a traveling, gospel-musical-play (ala Tyler Perry) swoops into town and after sneaking out of the house to see the play, she gets mesmerized by the male lead of the show, DEVLIN, who is a smooth-talking, soulful-singing, ex-R&B, heartthrob, who inspires her to want to join the traveling road show. After an impromptu audition, where she sings her heart out for the promoter of the musical, she is offered an opportunity to become an understudy for the female lead role.
Against her father’s wishes, she joins the show, leaving behind her life of security, friendship, and fatherly love, to explore the world and experience life as a young woman. She is romanced and seduced by Devlin and begins to see the world outside of Georgia. Just as she falls in love with the smooth talking Devlin and loses her female innocence, things suddenly take a turn for the worst. He starts to abuse her both physically and mentally. She finds out that many of the other women in the play are not her friends at all and most importantly, she begins to doubt her own self-worth. With the realization that she has abandoned her true friends back in Georgia and her only family, her father, she has no where and no one to turn to. She is forced to fall deeper and deeper into the abyss and loses her sense of purpose and more importantly, her faith. Her two best friends, who are concerned for her well-being, make an unannounced visit, to show that they still love and care for her and to let her know that she does have a life and a place to go where people still love and care for her. Although, she knows they are true friends, her pride and stubbornness will not let her go back with her tail between her legs. This only makes things worse for her, as she pressures the promoter to give her her shot at stardom, so that she can prove that she is worthy to everyone. Unfortunately, she ends up in a fight with the promoter who hired her and her services are immediately terminated.
After she gets fired from the play, she embarrasses herself and finds herself lost in this world of spiritual and emotional treachery, the realization hits her… she has to go home. The question is: will she find forgiveness and redemption or condemnation from her friends and most importantly… from her beloved father.

Movie Review" Its amazing how many horror films are being created now and they are appealing to a certain audience. It seems as if more people are into thriller and horror movies too. This movie Lake Mungo is no exception to the rule. This rated R movie is definitely a horror movie and it is set to be released at the end of January 2010.
To speak a little bit about the movie it involves the mysterious death of a teenage girl and then weird paranormal things start to happen. Her family actually asks a psychic into their home to determine what is going on and find that the girl was actually leading a double life. The girl was indeed laid to rest, but she doesn’t stay at rest; a lot of weird things start to happen and things that no one can explain. Well no one except the teenage girl that is. Her family is certain that the paranormal activity is that of the girl and they aren’t sure what she is trying to tell them.
However, there is an official web site where you can go and find out more about the movie, but are you really sure you want to find out the ending of the movie and what really happened? Why not wait for its release and go see it at the theaters when its released.
This movie is somewhat shot in the same style as the Blair Witch Project and in that movie nothing was really revealed about what happened to teenagers either. The idea of unraveling the mystery that surrounds the death of the girl and why she is still causing havoc on people in her town and her family. Finally someone comes to Lake Mungo to attempt to find out exactly what happened with the teenage girl and see if they can put a stop to things that have been happened.

1. Jis Din The album begins with a energetic song from Mika Singh. Jis Din is about celebration and excitement that happens before marriage. So, it is situational song, not for all moods.
2. Phir Se Phir word is repeated a million times in this song. There are 2 versions - one by Sonu Nigam and other by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The music and flow of the song is same in both the versions. It is a slow paced breezy love song. I'll choose Sonu Nigam's version if given a choice.
3. Dil Le Jaa Punjabi touch is welcomed in this song. At this point, it is evident the music has definite special characteristics that only music director Pritam have, Nice effort overall.
4. Karle Mujhse Pyaar The highlight of this album is Karle Mujhse Pyaar. Rock music and sufi singing always go well when Pritam is behind singing and music composing.
Overall Music Review of Toh Baat Pakki The album has all the big names (singers) attached to it with Pritam as the sole music composer. Pritam does not deliver a superhit but nothing should be taken against him due to the theme of this film. Songs are just average but none of them can be called a chartbuster. And yes there is nothing copied in this collection.

Review:There are many reasons I like “Shock Festival,” but the element that stands out to me the most is the amount of content. I literally spent an entire weekend going through all the grindhouse goodness that this DVD had to offer. I even have the trailer reel running in the background while I write this review.
But what is most impressive is the amount of detail that went into this project. Everything from the DVD menus to the mini-poster included within the DVD case is top notch. If you’re a collector, and nostalgic like I am, then you’ll appreciate it even more. Clearly the people from Bloody Earth films put their blood sweat and tears into this project and for that, I thank them.
I also thought the commentary tracks by Steven Romano were outstanding. This guy knows more about these old dirty gems than the fat guy who says “time to make the donuts” knows about getting up early. Steven could talk to you for an hour about how “Treasure of the Four Crowns” (a personal favorite of mine) was made and if the director liked cream in his coffee or not.
Side Note: In the book “Shock Festival” Steven includes photos of his living room where the walls are literally plastered with movie memorabilia. We see everything from a “Bad Lieutenant” poster to a “Dark Night at the Demon House” one-sheet. His ceilings are even lost to his madness. I guess that clears up the question if Steven is married or not.
Within the commentary tracks, Steven discusses the trailers within the reel of course, but also talks about growing up within the grindhouse world. He shares funny stories about the film industry, what it was like working with Don Coscarelli on “Phantasm” and even dabbles in current topics like the current remake craze. It’s all very interestingly geeky.
The last element of this bulging DVD set that I want to bring to your attention are the countless TV and radio spots found on disc three. See folks, I grew up in 80’s and spent my time watching films like “Porky’s”, “Gremlins” and “Stand By Me.” Eventually, I discovered the back room of my local ma-and-pa video store and that’s when I discovered films like “Grizzly”, “Motel Hell”, “The Toolbox Murders” and “Hell Night.” Years later, listening to the radio and television spots for these films is extremely nostalgic and satisfying.
I would say that there are close to 300 MP3 files and they have all been re-mastered and encoded with the original theatrical poster. I should also mention that these files are easily accessible which is great for transferring to portable devices like an iphone or PSP.
Overall, Shock Festival exceeded my expectations in every way. If you’re a fan of grindhouse, exploitation and horror films than this is a no brainer. My only complaint is that the DVD set didn’t come with a bar of soap because you’re going to need a shower after watching this sleaze. No, that’s a good thing people! Now if you will excuse me, the “Amazon Jail” trailer just came on. Gotta run!
Movie Review The Girl on the Train is based on a true story and was adapted from a play by Jean-Marie Besset. Andre Techine's film adaptation is about lies, people of wealth, Judaism and a anti-Semitic attack on a suburban train. It covers the complexities of human conditions and emotions. Techine is a French screenwriter and film director who has had a long and distinguished career that placed him among the best post-New Wave French film directors.
This provocative narrative revolves around a real event that took place in France in 2004. It is mirrored on psychological circumstances and consequences surrounding this rich drama about a bold lie. The plot is set in the low income suburbs of Paris where a series of spontaneous youth riots erupted in 2005. Film icon Catherine Deneuve and Emilie Dequenne are lead characters as mother and daughter Louise and Jeanne. Louise makes a living as a baby-sitter and Jeanne is a young woman who is attempting to find her place in life.
Young and naive Jeanne meets and falls in love with a university wrestler named Franck (Nicolas Duvauchelle). Franck works in a shady warehouse storing black-market goods and involves Jeanne in his illegal schemes. At the same time, she secures a secretarial position via her mother Louise's old admirer Samuel (Michael Blanc), a successful lawyer who defends Jewish cases. Jeanne is a fish out water in this job because she has little and no interest in religion or politics, although her dead father was an advocate for Jewish rights. However, the more she gets romantically involved with Franck and his crimes, the more she loses her principles. Franck eventually dumps Jeanne. Jeanne invents a web of lies saying she was a victim of an assault in a train by a group of Black and Arab youths who mistook her for a Jew. This is her way of attracting sympathy for herself.
Director Andre Techine uses actual court records in this adaptation and orchestrates a well oiled plot for this film. The film uses a host of characters to parallel each other which connect all scenarios. Actually, the film is divided into two parts; the circumstances leading up to the claims and the consequences from the lies. It breaks down to a theme of "truth and consequences" with exceptionally brilliant performances by Emilie Dequenne, Catherine Deneuve, and Nicolas Duvauchelle. They based their roles on newspaper articles and television images of unconscious racism and anti-Semitism.
The Girl on the Train displays a stimulating plot of dramatic entanglements that explore a complex family and social relationships haunting French society's fear.

Story What happens when a world-renowned scientist, crushed by the loss of his eldest daughter, formulates a theory in conflict with religious dogma? This is the story of Charles Darwin and his master-work \"The Origin of Species\". It tells of a global revolution played out the confines of a small English village; a passionate marriage torn apart by the most dangerous idea in history; and a theory saved from extinction by the logic of a child.'
Full Movie Review: n “Creation,” Charles Darwin the man takes precedence over Charles Darwin the scientist. In a better movie, these two aspects would not appear so far apart. Typically, Hollywood biographies of famous people attempt to show us the “real” man or woman behind the legendary achievements. The most egregious example of this was “Amadeus,” where Mozart was portrayed as a goofy, dirty-minded buffoon who just happened to be a genius.
Since Darwin is known to most people solely from his photo as the bearded, stern-faced eminence behind “The Origin of Species,” the filmmakers behind “Creation,” in attempting to give us the “real” Darwin, are practically inventing the wheel – or at least creating a new one.
Darwin (Paul Bettany) is presented to us mostly in his pre-“Origin” days as a man in his 40s distraught to the point of despair over the death in 1851 of his beloved 10-year-old daughter, Annie (Martha West). Director Jon Amiel – working from a screenplay by John Collee based on the book “Annie’s Box” by Darwin descendant Randal Keynes – goes in for a lot of ethereal father-daughter flashbacks. Annie, who also appears in the movie as a kind of ghost, shared the great scientist’s love of naturalist observation. (If you’re a fan of baby orangutans, look no further than this movie.) By fashioning Darwin’s observations through the prism of his daughter’s presence, the filmmakers are both humanizing and sentimentalizing him. They bring his genius down to earth. “Creation” is saying: Great men of science can suffer the same as us mere mortals.
But at least Darwin is wrestling with his faith, as opposed to, say, his friend Thomas Huxley (Toby Jones), who happily predicts that the publication of “Origin” will “kill God.” On the whole, though, “Creation” doesn’t delve deeply into the whole faith versus science thing, nor does it make much explicit reference to contemporary creationist controversies. The film is content to present itself as a self-enclosed period piece, a character study and not a polemic. As such, it’s rather staid and old-fashioned, despite its jumbled chronology and dreamlike flashbacks.
The film is never less than intelligent and never more than accomplished. I wish it subverted not only our commonplace conception of Darwin but also the era in which he lived. The reclusive, famished Darwin of this movie at times resembles nothing so much as the John Keats of “Bright Star.” Bettany knows how to suffer romantically – or to be more precise, Romantically. In the end, I half expected him to produce “Ode on a Grecian Urn” rather than “The Origin of Species.” Grade: B- (Rated PG-13 for some intense thematic material.)

Full Movie Review: Brendan Fraser, Harrison Ford and Keri Russell star in "Extraordinary Measures" for CBS Films, the film division within CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS.A and CBS). The project, which wrapped principal photography in mid-June 2009, was the first film to go into production for CBS Films. Ford is also executive producer on the project. Tom Vaughan ("Starter for 10," "What Happens in Vegas") is directing.
In the tradition of great inspirational dramas like the Academy Award nominated film "Erin Brockovich" and "The Pursuit of Happyness," "Extraordinary Measures" is inspired by the true story of John Crowley, a man who defied conventional wisdom and great odds, and risked his family's future to pursue a cure for his children's life threatening disease. From his working class roots, John Crowley (Brendan Fraser) has finally begun to taste success in corporate America. Supported by his beautiful wife Aileen (Keri Russell) and their three children, John is on the fast track. But just as his career is taking off, Crowley walks away from it all when his two youngest children, Megan and Patrick, are diagnosed with a fatal disease. With Aileen by his side, harnessing all of his skill and determination, Crowley teams up with a brilliant, but unappreciated and unconventional scientist, Dr. Robert Stonehill (Harrison Ford).
Together they form a bio-tech company focused on developing a life-saving drug. One driven to prove himself and his theories, the other by a chance to save his children, this unlikely alliance eventually develops into mutual respect as they battle the medical and business establishments in a fight against the system – and time. But, at the last minute, when it appears that a solution has been found, the relationship between the two men faces a final test - the outcome of which will affect the fate of John's children.
Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher ("World Trade Center," "Erin Brockovich"), alongside Carla Santos Shamberg ("Erin Brockovich"), produce through their Double Feature Films banner. Robert Nelson Jacobs ("The Water Horse," "Chocolat") wrote the screenplay, which was inspired by the book "The Cure" by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Geeta Anand.

Movie Review Have you ever had your life changed by a film? I don’t mean walk out and feel the weight of what you saw only to have it fade away after several hours and a late night dinner. Rumor has it that when Bambi was released that hunting license sales plummeted. I am not sure how many people don’t think of Psycho whenever they enter a bathroom and see the shower curtain pulled shut. But that is not what I am talking about. I mean have a movie actually alter the course of you how you live, act and think; for a lifetime.
The new teen geared drama, To Save A Life attempts to do just that. To get young people, and old I suppose, to stop and think about how they treat those around them. How a life can be forever marred or encouraged simply by how it is treated by its peers. The story centers around Jake Taylor (Randy Wayne) who is the big man on his high school campus. Good with a basketball and even better with the ladies; he has it all. When a tragic event occurs involving a friend from his early childhood it rocks Jakes world and makes him start seeing that how we treat others can have a dire impact on the lives around us. His decision to choose people over popularity does not come without a cost.
I dare not call this a Christian film. Although it is unapologetic in its call to action concerning God and faith. But unlike the typical faith based films it does not dance around the relevance and reality of life. It doesn’t make the church out to be all knowing and perfect and the world to be this awful place. To Save A Life displays the struggles and limitations of students both in and outside of the church walls in a way that I have not seen before. Also most Christian films are written as if to get those outside the church walls to take faith seriously. This one instead needs to be seen mainly by those inside the church walls who proclaim to live a certain way but instead are deceiving themselves.
Granted, To Save A Life plays more like an afterschool special than a blockbuster wide release. It has the pacing and writing that is intended to carry a message. It is not meant to entertain but rather to get you to think about life. Some might believe that the theater is not the place for a sermon and I would normally whole heartily agree. But this film is different. It is gritty, truthful and open about things that most times are overlooked or played out in a political correctness that white washes the issue. I appreciated the fact that it took chances and risks ridicule. And you have to admire a film that practices what it preaches.
To Save A Life is rated PG-13 for mature thematic elements involving teen suicide, teen drinking, some drug content, disturbing images and sexuality. As I said there is no candy coating or glossing over of what teens do and face daily. It has to be frank or it loses its validity. Even though it depicts these things I think that the message, regardless of what you choose to believe spiritually, should be instilled into kids at even a younger age than 13. Only you know your child and so be a wise parent. But I also think it touches on issues that could impact the life of someone your kid sees daily. I give it 4 out of 5 beer pong shots. Not a perfect film or one that you should see as a light outing. But one that needs to be seen by groups of young people who want to engage their culture and think about life as a whole. So says Matt Mungle
